Joining Avanquest as Group CEO in May 2013, Mr. Cesarini’s background as a serial entrepreneur and solid experience in software and Internet businesses serve as the perfect matches for the company’s entrepreneurial spirit and ambition. He began his career at Apple’s Cupertino, California headquarters, spending 10 years in the creation of the PowerMac. In 1998 he founded TempoSoft, a supplier of intranet applications for HR management and planning – a company purchased by Oracle in 2005. In 2007 Mr. Cesarini became CEO of Atego, a world leader in embedded software. He has also been a management instructor at l’École Mines Paris Tech.
Mr. Bloxberg joined Avanquest in January 2007, following the company’s acquisition of Nova Development, which he co-founded in 1984. Nova had become a leader in consumer software products with a particular strength in the Home Graphics category, a niche in which it occupied the no. 1 position. His areas of specialization include strategic planning, marketing and business development.
Mr. Helftstein co-founded Nova Development in 1984 and grew it to be the leading publisher of PC consumer software products. He extended the company’s leadership position under the auspices of Avanquest, following its 2010 acquisition of Nova, extending its presence in retail, direct-to-consumer and strategic sales channels. Among his other contributions, he provides oversight in the areas of product development, finance and operational planning.
A former sound engineer, journalist and author, Mr. Vanryb co-founded Avanquest – then BVRP Software – in 1984 with an investment of just €2,000. Mr. Vanryb is past president of Croissance Plus (2007-2009) and MiddleNext (2002) and past vice-president of France’s National Digital Council (2010-2012). Today he is chairman of Syntec Numérique’s Publishers’ Panel.
A British-American and founder of Nova Development (now part of Avanquest), Mr. Bloxberg, along with Mr. Helfstein, grew Nova to become the world’s largest publisher of third-party PC software products and recognized revenue increases every year for 15 successive years.
A successful serial technology entrepreneur, Ms. Faure is President of Augure, a leader in European public relations and influencer marketing. She is also a member of the board of BPI, France’s 8 billion euro sovereign investment fund.
A German-American and founder of MediaGold, one of Europe’s preeminent publishers of consumer software products (now part of Avanquest), Mr. Goldstein is presently the Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
A French-American bi-national with extensive experience in strategy, marketing and sales, Ms. Gorin is Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Expedia’s Affiliate Network.
